| Regular torches work with small incandescent lamps (krypton), whose lifetime is somewhere between several hundred and a few thousand hours. Their light is bright and focused quite clearly. The LEDs used here have a (computed) lifetime of up to 100,000 hours and are therefore much more durable. In addition, LEDs require less power, which lets LED torches run much longer on the same batteries. Models with few LEDs feature very concentrated light beams, models with many LEDs have wide angle of radiation and are very bright. |
